Vesuvius is a global leader in metal flow engineering. An UK based multinational with 11,204 employees located in 6 continents and with presence in 40 countries. Business model based on offering customized products, solutions and services working closely with or customers. Vesuvius has 6 R&D Centers around the globe and 54 production sites. Foseco is the Foundry division of Vesuvius, dealing with everything related with the molten metal industry for producing casting pieces, from large castings (railway, mining, and windmills applications among others) to high-volume automotive pieces (engine blocks, disc brakes…). That means that working at high temperature is quite standard. Foseco has 2 R&D Centres, one in Pittsburgh (USA) and one in Enschede (The Netherlands). Here, we focus on supporting our development sites on process improvement of metal casting at our customers. Also, we work on new products and innovations as well as exploring new technologies of interest for our type of industry.
