1. Description of the Challenge
Dustin receives customer quotation requests exclusively via email, varying wildly in detail, customer history, and specific requirements. Product managers currently spend valuable time manually consulting multiple internal and external sources to assemble the right product combinations.
Design a smart automation solution that processes incoming emails and generates a scored list of recommended products. The system must streamline the workflow while keeping product managers in full control and able to monitor performance, as human accountability remains critical for final decisions.
2. Expected Outcome
A comprehensive solution design document covering:
Transformation of incoming emails and attachments into structured data
End-to-end process flow and proposed system architecture
Required AI components, frameworks, and data/integration need
Note: Developing a working proof-of-concept (PoC) or prototype using Dustin's provided mock data (quotation samples, customer datasets, and product master data) is highly encouraged.
