Living within the natural boundaries of the planet is what Eneco believes in and strives for. But unfortunately, as mankind, we are exhausting the Earth. Ecosystems have no time to recover, biodiversity is threatened and more nature is lost than created. We are facing climate change, because more carbon is added to the atmosphere than nature can absorb. If we want to pass the Earth on in a livable way to our children and the generations that follow, there is no time to lose.  

Eneco wants its own activities and the energy it supplies to customers to be climate-neutral by 2035, in order to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius and to take responsibility for the generations to come. In May 2021 we presented our One Planet plan containing concrete actions, clear investment choices and measurable targets.  

Driven by our mission ‘everyone’s sustainable energy’, we help many consumers and companies switch to sustainable energy,  with smart, sustainable and affordable products and services. We also invest heavily in the development of sustainable energy projects, such as offshore wind farms or large solar roofs.
