1. Description of the Challenge

How can Fritom build a scalable and future-proof distribution network across the Benelux or Europe?

Fritom consists of five independent companies, each with its own customers and partners. While collaboration within the group is growing, there is an opportunity to make better use of the combined scale, resources and expertise.

At the same time, rising fuel costs, stricter regulations and labor shortages are putting pressure on the logistics sector. Strategic collaboration and economies of scale are becoming increasingly important to remain competitive and protect profit margins.

In this challenge, you will analyze Fritom’s customer portfolio, explore potential partnership and collaboration models, and identify what makes a strong strategic partner. You will also consider the interests of different stakeholders involved.

Your task is to develop a clear and practical blueprint for Fritom’s future distribution network, supported by strategic recommendations on partner selection, collaboration and stakeholder management.

Can you help Fritom turn five independent companies into a more connected and scalable distribution network?

2. Expected Outcome

A comprehensive design or blueprint for a Fritom distribution network (on a Benelux or European level). The deliverable should consist of concise, highly visual advice tailored for internal employees and prospective partners, incorporating strategic guidance on partner selection, collaboration formats, and stakeholder management.
