IND SDG-Challenge
1. Description of the Challenge
Since the Dutch Minister of Migration introduced the Spreidingsweg (Distribution Act), municipalities are made co-responsible for the sheltering of asylum seekers. The IND (Immigratie en Naturalisatie Dienst) assesses the applications of everyone who would like to stay in the Netherlands. They may be seeking asylum, or perhaps they would like to live with their families, or to work in the Netherlands. The challenge is centered around the logistical process of the IND with regards to the introduction of the Distribution Act. How can the IND make their processes more efficient, sustainable and optimal?

About IND
The IND assess the applications of everyone who would like to stay in the Netherlands. They may be seeking asylum, or perhaps they would like to live with their family, or to work of study in the Netherlands. And we also help everyone who has already been living here for some time and would like to become a Dutch citizen.
